The percentage is visible light transmission (VLT). A higher number lets in more light; a lower number looks darker.

No. DriveShade specializes in automotive window tinting for cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. “Mobile” means we travel to your vehicle; we do not install residential or commercial building film.
Full-car package prices include the side windows and rear windshield, professional glass preparation, mobile installation at an approved covered vehicle-installation location, shade and Florida-compliance guidance, final inspection, and aftercare instructions. Windshield film, roof glass, old-film removal, oversized glass, and unusually complex vehicles are priced separately.
Timing depends on the vehicle, old-film removal, and the number of windows. Most standard installations are completed in a single appointment; timing is confirmed with your quote.
Florida generally requires at least 28% visible-light transmission beside the driver. Windows behind the driver generally require at least 15% on passenger cars and 6% on qualifying multipurpose vehicles. Factory glass affects the final reading, so the finished glass must be checked rather than relying only on the film label.
Quality ceramic film is non-metallic and is designed to provide strong performance without the signal interference associated with some metalized films.
A clean home garage, carport, or covered workplace parking location is best. The installer needs enough room around the vehicle to open every door and protect the work from rain, wind, and airborne debris.
Yes. Existing tint removal is quoted based on condition. Start with your name, vehicle, and phone number; we can request photos later if needed.
Qualifying United Auto Film carbon and ceramic installations may include a Lifetime Manufacturer Film Warranty when professionally installed and properly registered. Coverage is subject to United Auto Film’s current terms and applies to qualifying manufacturing defects—not every type of damage or wear. DriveShade Installation Support is separate: contact us if you believe an issue is related to the installation so we can review it and explain the next step.
Windshield film is generally limited to a transparent strip above the AS-1 line unless a qualifying exemption applies. Vehicle owners remain responsible for legal compliance; we'll explain the applicable options before installation.
